Almond Press Cookies


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2–½ cups cake flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. Blend butter and sugar together till light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and continue mixing.
  5. Stir in flour mixture.
  6. Add almond extract and blend well.
  7. Chill dough for 2 – 3 hours.
  8. Then take out of refrigerator and let stand for 15 – 20 minutes.
  9. Fill cookie press using your favorite designs and press onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  10. Bake for 8 – 10 minutes, just until edges begin to slightly brown.
